This session will cover lessons learned in ethical data project identification from two years of successes & failures with DataKind’s Scoping Squad. Participants will walk away with relatable examples of projects we didn’t do & insight into how to handle difficult ethical decisions in data science for social impact.
Rachel supports social impact organizations in their ability to use data science and AI responsibly to make a positive impact as Senior Manager of Community Programs at DataKind. She has spent her career working in data science, capacity building, research, and training at nonprofits and corporations.
